What is respite care?
Respite care is a pre-arranged agreement between you and your carer / ilarna Personal Assistant. It allows for your primary care provider to take a break and rejuvenate while still ensuring you receive compassionate and personalised support.
Respite Care can be entirely unique to you and your requirements and can be as little as a few hours a day or for a longer length of time over a several weeks.
One of the key benefits of respite care is that you can stay comfortable at home and still receive high-quality, compassionate care. It also means that your primary care provider is given some time for themselves to rejuvenate and attend to their own needs.
What’s included in respite care?
Respite care tasks will be tailored to you and your unique requirements but here are some examples of tasks your ilarna Personal Assistant can assist you with.
Personal care – your ilarna Personal Assistant can provide discreet, compassionate and sensitive assistance with various hygiene tasks such as toileting and bathing.
Meal preparation – your ilarna Personal Assistant can prepare tasty and nutritious meals, drinks and snacks as per your request and can adhere to any necessary dietary requirements. If you are a keen cook and enjoy making your way around the kitchen your ilarna Personal Assistant can assist with preparation and be on hand to offer support if you need them.
Help with housework – your ilarna Personal Assistant can help you keep your home clean and organised. They can help with washing, vacuuming or any other light housework chores you need to be completed.
Mobility support – for your peace of mind, we have specifically trained ilarna Personal Assistants with experience in mobility support. They’re here to help you make the most out of every day and can assist with your mobility, if you’re going shopping or visiting a friend they’re available to accompany you.
Medication management – ilarna have specifically trained ilarna Personal Assistants with experience in medication support. While an ilarna Personal Assistant is not able to administer medication, they are able to prompt you to take it on time and organise your medication. To have medication administered our ilarna Personal Assistants are required to have extra specialised training.
How to find respite care?
Respite care is easy to find and arrange with ilarna, our Customer Experience Team are able to find the perfect ilarna Personal Assistant for you.
We provide a unique service which allows us to find the best fit for you, with our matching service ilarna Personal Assistants are connected with you based on your specific needs and their experience. With respite care you can request for assistance on an hourly basis or live-in, we’ll then connect and introduce you to all the ilarna Personal Assistant within a 15-mile radius to you who can expertly deliver the care you require.
You can request for assistance with companionship and invite an ilarna Personal Assistant into your home to keep you company, watch your favourite TV shows with or have them help you in your hobbies. You can also request an ilarna Personal Assistant to offer respite care for more complex requirements and they can support you with medication management, organising and taking your medication on time or with mobility support. Whatever you require an ilarna Personal Assistant is more than happy to help!
Arranging respite care is incredibly easy and can be arranged with the support from our Customer Experience Team.
Your first step is to contact our Customer Experience Team, who are available 7 days a week and can be contacted through the enquiry form at the bottom of this article.
Once you’ve completed the enquiry form the team will be in contact with you to learn more about you, the tasks that would be expected from your ilarna Personal Assistant and provide you with any free care advice. After which we’ll share with you some of our ilarna Personal Assistant who we think would be the perfect match to provide that family-feeling care we’re proud to provide.
Once you’ve selected the ilarna Personal Assistant you’d like to learn more about we can schedule a free discovery session which is the perfect time to meet in person and see of you click before you proceed to booking a session with your ilarna Personal Assistant. This is a fantastic time to build that foundation of trust, learn more about each other and ask any questions you might have. We want you to feel comfortable and confident when it comes to booking your first session.
The customer Experience Team will then guide you through the booking process and sign you up for your first session with ilarna. Once that’s complete you’re all set up, your ilarna Personal Assistant will then be able to schedule any future sessions with you, but our Customer Experience Team will always be there should you need any support and guidance.
